To put it simply, I would probably rate the food and this buffet either if I haven't been to other Chinese style buffets.

Unfortunately, I have.

Our family is actually one of those families where, during long vacations, we will go to buffets in other areas. Some of those buffets have been national award recipients as well.

To put it plainly, there are other buffets you can go to that are built in a way to offer a larger variety of food. If you're a buffet regular, you will plainly notice that Buffet Star focused their design far more on atmosphere and scenery than keeping space open for the buffet itself.

Items are limited to around 20 to 25, not counting the dessert bar. And this wouldn't really be a problem if the foods were amazing in flavor. But unfortunately, it's about on par with what other, larger buffets have offered to us before. And unless they changed something, they also don't have a soft serve machine, which makes me pretty disappointed.

It's a shame because the new building and decor look amazing. As soon as you go through the line a couple times though, you'll start to see that the food and the selection doesn't match the beautiful scenery.
